Transaction Email Settings

  1. To enable/disable this setting, tick or untick the Transaction Email Enabled box, as required
  2. From the Transaction Email Recipient dropdown, select who will receive a copy of this email
This step does not apply if you have disabled the Transaction Email feature

    The following options are available:

    • Customer
  3. Once any changes have been made, click Submit Settings

PayByLink on MOTO

  • Pay By Links are a secure payment link sent to your customers via email. Your customer would simply click the payment link to be directed to a web page where they can securely pay for goods or services
  • This setting determines if the PayByLink feature is available to use on your MOTO (Mail Order/Telephone Order) accounts
  1. Tick/untick the PayByLink Enabled for MOTO Accounts box, as required
  2. Once any changes have been made, click Submit Settings

Default CV2 Behaviour

Your account settings are pre-set to the highest level. You can relax these if you wish to, but at your own risk. The settings are put in place for your protection against fraudulent transactions

  • CV2 is the security code found on the payment card
This is typically 3 digits on the back of the card, located within the signature field, or 4 digits on the front of American Express cards
  • You can select the default behaviour for the CV2 entered when making a payment:
    • CV2 Policy – There are 2 policy options available:
Pass Transaction Regardless The transaction will be accepted, even if the CV2 provided does not match the CV2 of the payment card
Fail Transaction on CV2 Failure If the CV2 provided does not match the CV2 of the payment card, the transaction will Fail
  • When Results Unknown – If the CV2 response is unknown, we have been unable to confirm if the CV2 provided matches the CV2 of the payment card
  1. Select your chosen CV2 Policy from the dropdown
  2. Select the behaviour for unknown CV2 responses from the When Results Unknown dropdown
  3. Click Submit Account Settings.

This is located at the bottom of the screen.

Default AVS Behaviour

Your account settings are pre-set to the highest level. You can relax these if you wish to, but at your own risk. The settings are put in place for your protection against fraudulent transactions

  • Address Verification Service (AVS) checks the Billing Address details provided at the point of payment with the Billing Address details the card issuer holds for the payment card
  1. Select the default AVS behaviours from the dropdowns
AVS Policy You can choose if the system will pass or fail the transaction based on the AVS results
Treat Partial Address Only part of the address matches what the card issuer holds for the payment card
Treat Partial Post Code Only part of the post code matches what the card issuer holds for the payment card
When Results Unknown If the results are unknown, we have been unable to confirm if the address details provided match what the card issuer holds for the payment card

  1. Click Submit Account Settings
This is located at the bottom of the screen

Default 3D Secure Behaviour

Your account settings are pre-set to the highest level. You can relax these if you wish to, but at your own risk. The settings are put in place for your protection against fraudulent transactions

  • 3D secure may also be known as Verified by Visa/Visa Secure and Mastercard SecureCode
  • 3D Secure is a protocol designed to be an additional security layer for online credit and debit card transactions
  • A transaction using Verified by Visa or SecureCode will initiate a redirection to the website of the card issuer to authorise the transaction. Each issuer could use any kind of authentication method (the protocol does not cover this) but typically, a password tied to the card is entered when making online purchases
  • 3D Secure has mandatory regulations that all payment service providers must comply with, and are designed to combat the effects of fraud on consumers and merchants
  1. Ensure the 3D Secure Enabled box is ticked
  2. Click Submit Account Settings

This is located at the bottom of the screen
