You can amend a variety of different information within the Account Settings, including:
- Transaction Email Settings
- PaybyLink on MOTO
- Default CV2 Behaviour
- Default AVS Behaviour
- Default 3DS Behaviour

To update Account Settings, perform the following steps:
- Log in to mms.cardsaveonlinepayments.com
- Click into Account Admin
- Click into Account Settings
- Please see instructions below for the different settings available
Transaction Email Settings
- Transaction Emails are an email sent to notify the recipient when a transaction is made
- To enable/disable this setting, tick or untick the Transaction Email Enabled box, as required
- From the Transaction Email Recipient dropdown, select who will receive a copy of this email
This step does not apply if you have disabled the Transaction Email featureThe following options are available:
- Merchant and Customer
- Merchant
- Customer
- Once any changes have been made, click Submit Settings
PayByLink on MOTO
- Pay By Links are a secure payment link sent to your customers via email. Your customer would simply click the payment link to be directed to a web page where they can securely pay for goods or services
- This setting determines if the PayByLink feature is available to use on your MOTO (Mail Order/Telephone Order) accounts
- Tick/untick the PayByLink Enabled for MOTO Accounts box, as required
- Once any changes have been made, click Submit Settings
Default CV2 Behaviour
Your account settings are pre-set to the highest level. You can relax these if you wish to, but at your own risk. The settings are put in place for your protection against fraudulent transactions
- CV2 is the security code found on the payment card
This is typically 3 digits on the back of the card, located within the signature field, or 4 digits on the front of American Express cards
- You can select the default behaviour for the CV2 entered when making a payment:
- CV2 Policy – There are 2 policy options available:
Pass Transaction Regardless | The transaction will be accepted, even if the CV2 provided does not match the CV2 of the payment card |
Fail Transaction on CV2 Failure | If the CV2 provided does not match the CV2 of the payment card, the transaction will Fail |
- When Results Unknown – If the CV2 response is unknown, we have been unable to confirm if the CV2 provided matches the CV2 of the payment card
- Select your chosen CV2 Policy from the dropdown
- Select the behaviour for unknown CV2 responses from the When Results Unknown dropdown
- Click Submit Account Settings.
This is located at the bottom of the screen.
Default AVS Behaviour
Your account settings are pre-set to the highest level. You can relax these if you wish to, but at your own risk. The settings are put in place for your protection against fraudulent transactions
- Address Verification Service (AVS) checks the Billing Address details provided at the point of payment with the Billing Address details the card issuer holds for the payment card
- Select the default AVS behaviours from the dropdowns
AVS Policy | You can choose if the system will pass or fail the transaction based on the AVS results |
Treat Partial Address | Only part of the address matches what the card issuer holds for the payment card |
Treat Partial Post Code | Only part of the post code matches what the card issuer holds for the payment card |
When Results Unknown | If the results are unknown, we have been unable to confirm if the address details provided match what the card issuer holds for the payment card |

Default 3D Secure Behaviour
Your account settings are pre-set to the highest level. You can relax these if you wish to, but at your own risk. The settings are put in place for your protection against fraudulent transactions
- 3D secure may also be known as Verified by Visa/Visa Secure and Mastercard SecureCode
- 3D Secure is a protocol designed to be an additional security layer for online credit and debit card transactions
- A transaction using Verified by Visa or SecureCode will initiate a redirection to the website of the card issuer to authorise the transaction. Each issuer could use any kind of authentication method (the protocol does not cover this) but typically, a password tied to the card is entered when making online purchases
- 3D Secure has mandatory regulations that all payment service providers must comply with, and are designed to combat the effects of fraud on consumers and merchants
- Ensure the 3D Secure Enabled box is ticked
- Click Submit Account Settings
